Day 2

Today was a fun day. Anyday in which I get to sleep until 11 AM is my kind of day, especially when it is followed by a relaxed schedule. This schedule included both a visit the Google offices aswell as a tour of the city, in which we went to quite a few wonderful places.

Firstly, because we visited Google in the weekend, it wasn't nearly as busy as usual. This allowed us to check out all of the different rooms and lounges with relative ease. And because the Zürich department of Google has about 1700 employees, just visiting a part of the offices already took us a couple of hours. However, almost everything that we were able to take a look at was really impressive. There were different "break-areas" spread throughout the buildings, with each of them having their own theme. For example in the James Bond room there was another secret room hidden behind the decorations.
This first tour of the Google buildings was really fun, as I got to take an inside look at the offices of which I had only heard about.

However, today wasn't only limited to visiting Google as we also went to the city-center. During our walk around the city we often took refuge in small bars and restaurants since the rain continued throughout the day. At one of those places I also had my first real bratwurst. To finish the day we went out to eat at an asian restaurant where I ate using chopsticks (or I atleast tried to).
Tomorrow my internship will really start as we're going to the office again, this time to get some work done!
